第二场微电影分享会 Microfilm Sharing Session

人生在起伏中有苦有甜;每一天的每一段经历都丰富了人生的故事。两位得奖无数的导演任锦添和甘龙发,将在《“一切从故事开始”微电影分享会》上,分享他们如何记录他们人生的酸甜苦辣。

资深媒体工作者,现任新加坡创意室的导演。任锦添希望利用镜头带领观众发现人性,体现和突出人文精神和拍摄能够促动观众情感的故事。锦添是新加坡义安理工学院的毕业生,他的其中一部短片《礼物》(hyperlink礼物http://youtu.be/1DUYlHZsZfc)至今有超过七百万人观看,更获奖无数,包世界电影奖(获得最佳故事奖、最佳新人奖、最佳国际电影奖、最佳导演奖、最佳剪辑奖)\第二届亚洲短片节(新加坡短片类冠军) 、ProFiRe短片节(特别奖) 、最佳短片竞赛(优异奖)。他的最新的作品《涟漪》已经获得超过五百万人的观看。


甘龙发
义安理工学院电影与传媒系
课程经理

目前为义安理工学院讲师,曾在邵氏有限公司当个广告和公关高管肖组织员,推动影院各种的影片,包括当地邱金海导演的最早的电影片《Mee Pok Man》;也在PSA公司制作各种外部和内部企业宣传片 。

龙发知道得短片《弟》,在19屆新加坡国际电影节赢得了最佳导演奖;《豆牙不够》在2005年国庆大会演讲中在全国电视首播。短片《玛沙拉妈妈》 在第60届柏林国际电影节入围水晶熊奖,更在第26届汉堡国际短片电影节赢得ARTE短片奖,和第二届新加坡短片奖最佳导演奖 。他最新的电影短片《绕》也在第五届新加坡短片奖荣获四大奖项(最佳短片奖、最佳导演奖、最佳剧本奖和最佳表演奖)并在第32届乌拉圭国际电影节赢取了最佳国际短片奖,以及在第14届波多黎各国际短片电影节荣获特别评委奖 。

There are ups and downs in life. Every new day and new experience enriches our life. Two award winning director – Daniel Yam and Michael Kam will be sharing their techniques and passions on recording daily challenges at “It’s all about the Story!”

Daniel Yam
Director
The Creative Room

Daniel Yam loves to take his audience on a journey to discover humanity. Often heart-warming and sentimental, his work champions the human spirit. Daniel is trained in directing and cinematography. He is a graduate from the Film Sound and Video at Ngee Ann Polytechnic. He has been in the media industry for more than a decade, He has worked with HSBC, CitiBank, UBS, DHL, Sony, Singapore Art Museum, Singapore, Community Chest, People’s Association and National Arts Council.

One of Daniel's work - short film GIFT has attracted over 7 million viewers on various online platforms. GIFT has won many awards - World Film Awards (Best Story, Best Newcomer, Best International Film, Best Director, Best Editing) , 2nd Asian Short Film Festival (Winner - Singapore Short Film Category), ProFiRe Short Film Festival (Special Awards of Progressive Film of Reality), Best Shorts Competition (Awards of Merit). His most recent short film Ripple has garnered more than 5 million views worldwide.



Michael Kam
Course Manager
Ngee Ann Polytechnic, School of Film & Media Studies

Mesmerised at a young age by the magic of cinema, Michael Kam has a degree in engineering and an MBA, but went on to pursue his passion, completing a post-graduate diploma in film production from Ngee Ann Polytechnic's School of Film & Media Studies, where he now teaches and serves as course manager for the Diploma in Film, Sound & Video.

Before joining the school, Michael was an advertising and PR executive at Shaw Organisation, and helped promote a variety of films distributed by the cinema chain, including local filmmaker Eric Khoo's very first feature film "Mee Pok Man". He also honed his production skills creating various external and in-house corporate videos while working in PSA corporation.

An avid short filmmaker, Michael's works have travelled to numerous international film festivals and have been honoured with accolades. His short film "Di" (Little Brother) earned him the Best Director prize at the 19th Singapore International Film Festival. He directed "Tau Gay Not Enough", a humorous short video which premiered on national television during the Prime Minister's 2005 National Day Rally Speech. His short film "Masala Mama" was shortlisted for the Crystal Bear at the 60th Berlin International Film Festival and went on to win the ARTE-Short Film Award at the 26th Hamburg International Short Film Festival, as well as the Best Director prize at the 2nd Singapore Short Film Awards. His most recent short film, "Detour" won four major prizes - Best Fiction, Best Director, Best Script and Best Performance - at the 5th Singapore Short Film Awards. It went on to win the Best International Short Film award at the 32nd Uruguay International Film Festival and the Special Jury Prize at the 14th Puerto Rico International Short Film Festival.
