A Visual narrative poetry film about how I was coping during the two years of the pandemic. as i express myself through poetry, i thought it would be fulfilling to show a more artistic way of what a new norm in singapore is.

A little alien named Norm, reached the Planet Earth and brought unusual water droplets from the sky causing the locals to have to stay indoors. Norm landed to find a place to call home and settling in seems tough especially when the locals discovered someone foreign in their area. The locals were in a state of panic after discovering that their new neighbour might be the cause of the unusual events leading to them staying indoors, isolating Norm From the rest of them. Having everyone stay indoors with fear didn't help the situation as they felt trapped causing a lot of chaos and fear in everyone. However the locals took time to adapt and soon grew empathy towards Norm. Overtime, the locals became more accommodating to Norm and accept Norm for his differences. The isolation has taught the locals to protect and also adapt to what was called ‘rain’ introduced by Norm. Staying indoors allowed them to pick new skills and create a deeper connection with each other.

The film begins with a view of a guitar and a teenage boy, Alex, whose dream is to become a well-known musician. He strums on the guitar strings before packing up his guitar in its case. A call comes in from his manager from the concert he's attending and he picks it up, excitedly talking about his anticipation for the concert before it begins to fade when the manager reveals that the concert is cancelled due to the sudden lockdown. After months of the covid-19 situation not showing any improvements, his guitar starts to collect dust and Alex has lost all motivation to pick it up and play. One night when he can not seem to fall asleep, he slowly finds the sudden urge to play it again.

A girl going though her loneliness as Covid is still prevalent which leads to a misunderstanding with her friend.

During these two years, there are a lot of changes in terms of rules and regulations. Despite a lot of uncertainties with the new lifestyle, slowly but gradually, we are making changes to our habits and taking a step to adjust to the new norm.

故事结尾便是潘敏解释到，若有人可以陪一个人一起做一件很闷的苦差，一起受苦，那会让一个人觉得自己并不孤单。尽管形式这个陪伴是虚拟的，它依然鼓励了许多人将苦闷的事情完成。

Singaporeans are being irresponsible and not adhering to safe management measures. As a result, the government imposed a curfew. A news reporter interviews people to get their opinion on this matter. The crew gets two differing views. The news reporter then follows a police patrol at night to document what happens when a person gets caught breaking this law. They find the same person from the earlier interview and a “Karen” breaking this new law. The reporter gets an insight on what happens to these two individuals.

The film opens on a joyous gathering of friends celebrating Claudia's 18th birthday. As she blows out the candles, the film fades to the life we lead after the covid-19 pandemic, a time when friends and family gatherings are either cancelled or postponed. Activities that we used to do in groups have become unfamiliar to many.

In the end, the film then comes back to Claudia's birthday celebration; this time around, she is seen embracing the new normal celebrating her birthday via an online call with her friends.

The Little Things shows the ramifications of the pandemic experienced by the migrant workers in Singapore. The film showcases the inconveniences of the pandemic such as the mandatory wearing of masks, closure of borders and more.

However, this pandemic has given us a new normal. We have also opened up the door to an even kinder Singapore where we see our fellow citizens helping others.

Bobby will start singing about the pandemic in a very theatrical way.The visuals in this section of the video will be in a paper layering style.The Musical section will describe a lot of the tropes during this new norm period. It will mention masks, vaccines, staying at home,Work from home,online shopping so on and so forth. It will also mention how scary the pandemic is for many of us but we don't have to panic.A similar method used by stand up comedians. Although by the end it will end on a positive note.

The point of view (POV) of a young adults’ journey her life while adapting to the new changes during the Pandemic in Singapore. She realized that when covid happened, her daily life changed as it went by. She felt like it was hard to cope but being able to spend more quality time with her family members changed her perspective. During her journey, she learned to find positivity in the negativity. For example, instead of seeing putting on a mask and getting vaccinated as a hassle, she thought of it as a form to protect herself and her loved ones from getting infected. Some of us tend to be lazy to sanitize our hands or taking a bath when we arrive home (to be safe) There are also people who get annoyed to get vaccinated but it’s crucial to get vaccinated. Following those procedures would keep you and your friends and loved ones safe. She understands and cooperates with the life of the pandemic. She also realised how important her family is and started spending more time with them ever since the pandemic striked. Even with a crisis going on, she chose not to see her life in a complete negative perspective, but rather she stays positive and moves forward by creating more great memories to be cherished.

On the other side of Singapore, Miya, Janet and Ryan were having a time of their life with online games until they realized that Sarah wasn’t acting herself, so they started persuading her for a game of online UNO. At first, Sarah was being weighed down by her feelings but after much persuasion, she gave in to their words and agreed to join for a game. In the end, Sarah managed to triumph over her difficulties and bonded closer to her friends than ever before. When school reopened, Sarah decided to break the cycle by changing her dull clothes for something brighter. She met up with her friends at the school entrance and embrace a new beginning.
